New Release: Brave - The Healer

Cairo based DJ and producer Brave is here with his first original release on FSOE. The healer is a progressive minded tune grooving its way up. An intro mix was designed for giving your set an excellent start.

For his second remix on FSOE, Mohamed Ragab gives the healer a drumboost and adding the track some new synthworks.

Arctic Moon shows us how the healer sounds in an uplifting trance way, better suited for the later hours on the dancefloor.

Crystal Clouds Writes

With FSOE teaming up with Armada recently, the label is continuing to push the boundaries of the music we love and this track from Brave is no different.

The Original Mix is a laid back affair with some typically FSOE sounds layered throughout combining perfectly. Subtle but powerful melodies create a beautiful atmosphere in the music, with a progressive feel to it. Watch out for some particularly huge sounds towards the end!

The Original Intro Mix continues this trend while Mohamed Ragab takes a progressive turn on the track to produce another stunning tune. Beautiful sounds rain down from this production which is filled with positive energy and features a superb prog trance break.

Arctic Moon finish up with a slice of uplifting trance which is more typical to the sound we all know Aly & Fila and FSOE for. Kicking off with a banging intro, the track soon develops into an uplifting monster which manages to adapt the beautiful sounds to create an electrifying but vibrant remix.

Sheffield's iconic clubbing institution is set to make a historic return to the city this year. Three years since world-celebrated Sheffield nightclub Gatecrasher burned to the ground, owners have revealed firm plans to develop a new flagship venue in the city which they hope to open on their 17th Birthday this September.

Plans have been submitted to Sheffield City Council to create the ultimate 30k square foot, 2000 capacity hyper-club in the heart of the city, just a few yards from the original Arundel Street site. Subject to planning permission, Gatecrasher intends to invest £5 million developing the basement of the infamous cheese grater car park (Q-Park) on Charles Street creating over 200 city jobs. Gatecrasher is urging the city to get behind them and 'Vote Yes' for the new club and have created an online petition for messages of support for the new venue which they intend to submit to the council to back-up their planning proposals.

Biography

Dennis Pedersen is an ambitious music producer who recently started creating trance on a new level. He's 20 years old.

Dennis has been producing several genres through time, which gave him alot of experience. But afterall he decided to go with Trance as his main.

Dennis Pedersen is mainly inspired my Sean Tyas, Bjorn Akesson, and Above & Beyond, which makes it a bit changed every tune! Dennis hopes to bring some cool tunes in the nearest future, with alot of support from different artists! Hopefully you will take the time to support him.

Noord Nederlands Orkest Takes On Armin Van Buuren

For those of you who enjoyed the Armada Compilation release a few years back, here we have some more classical trance courtesy of the Noord Nederlands Orkest who will be performing some of Armin Van Buurens tracks from years gone by live on the 4th and 5th of March 2010.

March 4 and 5, a Dutch orchestra called Noord Nederlands Orkest, will play the classical interpretations of Armin van Buuren during two concerts. From 'Communication' to 'Serenity' and 'In & Out of Love', a big selection of his catalogue will be translated into classical compositions.

For these two special nights, orchestra arrangements were made by American composer Tom Trapp. He is a leading arranger for Frank Zappa's tracks, and lets his own compositions be inspired by Steve Reich, Charles Ives, John Cage and John Adams. For this NNO-program, a special lasershow was designed and the chairs in the three concert halls will be out.

Interview with Marcel Mandos
Artistic manager and programmer Marcel Mandos explains why this seemingly unconventional program - of which the idea came to life about 1,5 years ago - perfectly connects with the artistic vision of the Orchestra. "I'm sure there'll be quite some frowning in connection with this concert, but that can and may never be the reason to abandon the concert, especially not since the orchestra likes to be renewing", so he says. "At the NNO, we see it as our job to keep attracting a new audience. Exploring the boundaries is part of that, and it characterizes our artistic policy. Besides, it's not in our nature to make a distinction between high and low art, whatever that may be."

Quality is all that matters
Marcel:"We don't like to stereotype any form of art anyway. We notice that with every new generation, the borders between conventions and styles fade. Why would a symphonic orchestra restrict itself to 'real' classical music? Our complete program is a musical caleidoscoop. Projects can be very different, as long as they live up to our quality standards. "

The line of Stravinsky and minimal music
"Armin van Buuren may not appeal everyone, but we think it has to be heard. Remember that he manages to put a complete generation - on all different continents - into a frenzy. His energetic music connects with the emotional world of youngsters. That's what fascinates us so much about it. Again, in music it's not about the difference of genres, but purely about the emotion. Every perception that comes from music, we find interesting. Next to that, I dare to say that composers of minimal music, such a Reich, Glass and Eno, have been the big pioneers for the house scene. And for them, a man like Stravinsky - think of the many repetitions in 'Sacre du Printemps' - was important. Armin van Buuren may not be their successor in the symphonic type of music, but his intention is the same; bringing people in a state of trance, based on repetition, pulsation and the continuous ostinato."

Marcel Mandos explains a bit about the program:"We asked Tom Trapp to arrange Armin's tracks into works for the orchestra. It's the art of translating that high pace, those beats and the typical sounds into orchestral music. I haven't heard the result yet, but I think the music will get a richer colour spectrum thanks to the symphonic strength. We aimed to create a night of dance. The program will last an hour and the music will be played non-stop. The main difference between an Armin van Buuren performance is that he adjusts his mixing to the 'temperature' of the crowd in front of him, while the NNO program has a completely fixed program. In the future, I hope to take it even further in mixing dance and symphonic music. I picture the NNO playing 'Sacre du Printemps' or the 'Four Seasons' and that Armin van Buuren or one of his colleagues flawlessly mixes that to the next. Just wait and see, it's about to happen!"

Biography

Born October 13, 1988 in Melbourne, Australia, Engin Ogutveren has always been passionate about music. By the age of eight he was playing the guitar, after which the keyboard naturally followed. As music strongly dominated his life, his passion for dance music took over and soon he realized that Dj-ing and music production is his chosen career.

Majera's first steps in the studio began at the tender age of fourteen, by seventeen he was signed to Solarstone's very own 'deep blue recordings'. 'Velvet sun' received remix duties from trance heavy weights Aly & Fila, the record received massive support across the globe from acts such as Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk, Super8 & Tab, Aly & Fila and was voted top 150 trance tunes of 2007. Currently, Majera is working feverishly on several progressive and trance productions.

His melodies are consistently haunting, deep and beautiful, a mixture of gentle rhythms and natural sounds, which may well prove to be his signature trademark. His follow up productions' once again took the interest of 'Solaris recordings' owner, Solarstone with the 'Believe EP' featured on numerous compilations and receiving heavy support by such notable trance artists as Solarstone, Marcus Schossow, Mike Shiver, Airwave, Thrillseekers, Robert Gitelman and other leading top jocks.

Solartone's growing love for Majera's work lead to the man himself requesting a Majera remix of Solarstone's very own 'Solarscoaster' which is due for a release in 2010. Other studio work includes 'Playground' signed to Miami based record label 'Addictive Global' including a Ronski Speed pres. Sun Decade Remix. His sets are forward thinking, cutting edged, trance blessed journeys that have captivated crowds he has played to.

Majera's constant support of international acts pushed him into the limelight and headlining events. From here on, his growing local success lead him to hosting his own events at Melbourne's finest trance club Room680.

One of the biggest releases of the year so far hits the internet this week in the form of the collaboration between Vast Vision and RAM.

Entitled "Sandwriting" the release is a huge summery feeling track with plenty of positive sounds and energy.

Remixes come courtesy of Temple One and Alex Lamb.

Here we have one of the best tunes passing through the speakers at Crystal Clouds thanks to a mixture of talented producers and DJs.

The Original Mix is a summery affair with plenty of exciting sounds and strings combined with divine uplifting trance. Also packing a punch behind it, Vast Vision and RAM set the track up with pure quality in mind. Fantastic stuff.

The Temple One Remix is the big highlight of the package however, with Joe proving exactly why he is still king of the beautiful uplifting trance sound. Soaring melodies and hair raising uplifting sounds mesmerize the listener while Temple One takes them on a journey of pure euphoria.

Alex Lamb provides the diversity in the package with a more techy sounding version which features an epic break alongside some unique takes on the track.

Definitely a killer release for 2010 here, one not to be missed for sure.
